Makes 4–6 sandwiches. Ingredients: young green jackfruit, olive oil, onion, garlic, barbecue sauce, water, smoked paprika, cumin, salt/pepper, coleslaw mix, mayo/yogurt, vinegar, sugar, buns. Method: shred jackfruit; sauté onion/garlic; add spices and jackfruit; simmer with sauce/water 12–15 minutes, shredding. Toss slaw with dressing. Toast buns; pile jackfruit and slaw. Why it works: simmering removes brine flavor; slaw adds crunch and acid against sweet-smoky filling.
