Recipe: Spiced Turkey Meatball Pitas with Yogurt Sauce

**Ingredients** - 1 lb ground turkey - 1/3 cup breadcrumbs - 1 egg - 2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp oregano - 1 tsp kosher salt, 1/2 tsp pepper - 2 tbsp olive oil - 4 pitas, warmed - 1 cup chopped cucumber + tomatoes

**Yogurt sauce**: 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp olive oil, pinch salt, dill or parsley.

**Method** 1) Mix turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, spices, salt, pepper. Form 16 meatballs. 2) Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Brown meatballs 8–10 minutes, turning, until 165°F. 3) Stir sauce ingredients until smooth. 4) Fill pitas with meatballs, veggies, and yogurt sauce.

**Why it works:** Spices keep lean turkey flavorful; yogurt sauce adds acid and creaminess without heavy mayo.
